UK enterprise week @ FT.com

I came cross the FT website and saw a special section of UK Enterprise Week. I watched the interviews with several entrepreneurs, include Peter Jones from Dragon’s Den. They are fascinating and really inspired. If you are interested on small business or start-up companies, don’t miss these interviews .

Small Business

I said the modules I took this year are all my favours, but “Small business and its development” is the one I like most. Maybe it’s because my dad has his own business and grew up in a business environment, every time when I heard stories about successful entrepreneurs started from zero and became millionaire, my mind started dreaming about doing my own business and become one of those.

I’ve got a lot of thoughts and ideas about setting up a business. I’ve seen a lot of opportunities that just in daily life. I really wish I can just walked out the classroom and do it, but there are also other things stop me and make me think over and over again. But that doesn’t stop my from daydreaming, ideas still came up everyday and I am always thinking what will it be like if comes to real.

Now I remember a word from that crazy Sam in “The apprentices” in season one (US version). “Real smart business student don’t stay in the class, they go out and do it!”. That’s a bit extreme, but somehow does make a point. Why? Look at the founder from Microsoft, Google and Facebook.

To be old and wise, first need to be young and stupid.

Haha, you still remembered that Sam. He was indeed crazy.
Take a photo of that vending machine next time if you got a chance.
