Ms Mami Mizutori, the Director of Japan Information and Cultural Centre, Embassy of Japan, came to DEAS to give us a talk on ‘JAPAN, A Force for Stability and Progress in East Asia’ last night. , the Director of Japan Information and Cultural Centre, Embassy of Japan, came to DEAS to give us a talk on ‘JAPAN, A Force for Stability and Progress in East Asia’ last night. , the Director of Japan Information and Cultural Centre, Embassy of Japan, came to DEAS to give us a talk on ‘JAPAN, A Force for Stability and Progress in East Asia’ last night.
Her talk was very thoughtful and I found myself learn quite a lot from what she presented: the present international relationship of Japan and other countries; and official point of view towards on current issues. A student, who might be studying Chinese, also asked a question about the current situation between China and Japan as well as the Taiwan issue. Ms. Mizutori’s answer seems very positive on this issue. And as a Chinese who studying Asia culture and relationship, I was very happy to hear what she said!
Also, I was very impressed by her speech style — calm and confident! Most of the time during her speech, she seldom looked at her draft but her speaking was clear and understandable. When answering students’ questions, she responded quickly right after the question and her points on the issue was very clear as well.
I was very enjoyed to join this kind of speech, not just the context but also atmosphere too.
I have to say sorry about this but I am one of the victims as well.
A few weeks ago my friend left a message on my blog telling me that my blog had Trojan because every time he visited just got a pop-up notice from his Anti-spyware program. I didn’t realise that until I brought my laptop to the library. I was told that I got spyware in my pc and not allow accessing the university network! What the hell who did this to my blog!!??
But luckily it hasn’t cost me any big trouble so far. I have found a very GOOD anti-spyware software call Spybot (Thanks to David), and more important, it’s a FREE software! So please do install it and clean the spyware inside your computer.
I just found out from my teacher that I got a 79 of my year aboard in Japan in May, this probably the third one in my year. I am quite happy with that, at least it gives me some comfort that I did do a bit work while I was there. :)
Right, keep on working!
