Couple of things

Going Back
My flight is in the afternoon of this Saturday, 25th. I will be traveling in Hong Kong for two days with two friends, one from England and one from Japan. After that I will go back to Shantou maybe on the 2nd of August.

Farewell parties
My schedule is almost full before the day I go back. A lot of Farewell parties and meeting friends for maybe the last time in Japan. It always gets very sad at this time of the years as some friends I might not have a chance to meet them again in my life. I will treasure the friendship with the people I met this year. Luckily there is something called Internet and emails, which let me can keep in touch with my friends easily.

English Blog and a blog about Shantou
I am thinking to resume this blog after I go back to China. Actually I am planning to make a blog about my hometown Shantou. Because there is not English information websites about my hometown as far as I know so far. It might be helpful to have a blog like what Wangjianshuo’s one to provide information for foreigners who travel to Shanghai. I have been always thinking to contribute something to my hometown, especially after I left it three years ago.

That’s probably all about so far.

Keyboard problem solved!

As I wrote on my Chinese Blog, my keyboard problem had been solved. Thanks for all the people that gave me advice about solving the problem.

Well, I did try using hair drying to blow the keyboard as most of friends suggested to me, but that seem didn’t work. So eventually I used a screwdriver to open the laptop and disconnected the cable between keyboard and the motherboard. But while I was disconnecting it, the cable next to it that connected touchpad and motherboard was accidentally unplugged by my finger. So now, the total input devices of my laptop are disabled. I have to use external mouse and keyboard. It is more like a "foldable desktop" rather than a laptop.

Anyway, there are some pictures of my new soft keyboard. Again, thanks to those who gave me advices. :-)

My computer is kind of broken

My computer is wired these days.

I left it on for disk defragment when I left my room, but when I came back it became wired. The screen refreshed by itself quickly; the same when I used Internet Explore. Also, when I used Word to type something, it always poped up the ‘Go to’ window automatically.

I thought it was virus at first, but after I searched on Google to see if there are other guys have the some problems as me, I found out it’s more like a keyboard problem. I talked with Anthony (my French friend who lives in the same dormitory) and he said it might be because of the humidity. It’s true, the weather has been quite humid these few days. He had the some problems with his laptop’s screen a few days ago, then he turned on air-condition and let the air in his room dried out, the problem solved. But still, this doesn’t work for my laptop after I let my air-condition on for 2 hours. I also tried to clean my keyboard by taking out the keys one by one, but as you are reading this, you probably know it didn’t work neither. I was thinking using an external keyboard, but the internal one still works unless disable it.

Anyway, I am thinking to go into my laptop by taking out the screws. This can result on a worse situation, I know, but I still want to have a try. If it still doesn’t work, I will have to disable the internal keyboard and use an external one. Wish me luck!

This blog will stop updating until the problems solves. I am in my school typing this entry now.
